Coit Tower

Built as a monument to Lillie Hitchcock Coit after her donation of $125,000 to the city of San Francisco, This monument encompasses many of the cities styles and cultures. Engulfed in beautiful murals, and dedicated to the city’s firefighters, Coit Tower has many scenic views to offer. Enjoy the views and try out the elevator ride, very scenic and historical.

Alcatraz

One of the most world renowned prisons of all time is Alcatraz. Now a tourist attraction Alcatraz still offers a great appeal to visitors. Once harboring some of the United States most hardened criminals, it is easy to see why many find the Alcatraz tour delightful. Make sure to bring a jacket as temperatures out there tend to be on the cooler side.

Fisherman’s Wharf

A delightful and scenic center, the Fisherman’s wharf is surrounded by atmosphere and activity abound. Located right on the bay and engulfed in some of the area’s best seafood restaurants you will find it hard not to spend the entire day here. The Wharf is a wonderful place to eat and take a walk to relax.

Japanese Tea Garden

If the hustle and bustle of the city is a bit much for you and need a more serene environment the Japanese Tea Garden is the place for you. An enchanting 4 acres of waterfalls, ponds and streams, the best time to visit is during the spring when the blossoms are definitely in their finest bloom.

Golden Gate Bridge

Best known as the Icon that represents San Francisco the Golden Gate Bridge is a natural Modern Marvel in architecture. Its design is overwhelming and absolutely stunning due to its sheer size. You can easily find many areas to appreciate the bridge’s design and architecture. Do a stop and park around the surrounding areas and you are sure to capture many great photos.
